    Hi! Welcome to the Memphis Park ASH performance Horses website.

    Memphis Park is an Australian Stock Horse Stud and was established by Crystal Vanstone (nee Durak) in 2002, whilst she was still residing at her parents (Jenny and Don) property in Strathalbyn, South Australia. Nowadays Memphis Park is still owned and operated by Crystal with the help of her husband Dale and her parents Jenny and Don. Since 2008 Crystal and Dale have been located just outside of Macclesfield, South Australia in the picturesque Adelaide Hills but continue to run horses over the two properties.

    Memphis Park is a small stud where we are more conscious about breeding quality rather than quantity. Our aim is to breed horses that are stylish, easy on the eye, calm and responsive with a good temperament, conformation & movement. We breed with athleticism, versatility and trainability in mind. Resulting in a horse which is not only suitable to use as a pleasure horse but also one that has the presence and courage we all look for in a top level performance horse.

    This is all achieved by choosing horses to breed from that have good temperament, conformation and movement themselves as well as proven bloodlines and a natural ability that is adaptable to many different disciplines. We feel this allows you more freedom to choose the equestrian discipline you wish to excel in, whether it is Dressage, Eventing, Show-Jumping, Hacking, Polo / Polocrosse, working classes or Endurance; here at Memphis Park the bloodlines are proven!

    The first foal bred at Memphis Park was the magnificent stallion Memphis Park Memory and we couldn't have been happier with him! Since our first foal (Memory), the few Memphis Park horses that have been bred (oldest rising 5 year old) have already proved themselves to be what we are aiming for by having great temperaments, conformation and movement and have been very trainable, as well as being champions in the show ring (including MP Memory progeny). In time these horses will continue to prove their ability across a whole range of disciplines!

    At Memphis Park we pride ourselves in our horses, every horse is part of a succession plan and is given the best opportunity to be a champion. This is achieved by carefully planned breeding, correct nutrition and management (worm, dental and hoof) and handling. Our horses are raised as naturally as possible by grazing in big paddocks with other horses, they are all fed a VF natural diet.

    In 2009, when the opportunity arose to become the South Australian distributor for Victoria Ferguson's Herbal Horse products, Crystal jumped at the opportunity. Crystal has a passion for herbs and natural supplements and has fed her stud and competition horses on a 100% Natural diet since 2004, with great results. After her dressage horse MP Urrbrae Stockade continued to tie-up and had back problems in 2004, he was taken to the vet. A series of blood tests had MP Urrbrae Stockade diagnosed with a condition that proved he was unable to break down synthetic feeds.  It was after the diagnosis that Crystal had read an article in a magazine by Victoria Ferguson of Herbal Horse. This prompted Crystal to contact Victoria Ferguson directly, which resulted in the horse being placed on a 100% Natural diet which included Herbal Horse Vitalis (Vitamin and Mineral mix). MP Urrbrae Stockade continued to compete in dressage (up to Elementary and trained Medium), he was also very successful in the Australian Stock Horse ring, after this winning numerous Champions in Led and Ridden classes at Branch, State and Royal level.

    Memphis Park continues to feed a 100% Natural diet as it is so easy and we know exactly what each horse is getting and can adjust it to each of their individual needs!
